On the east side of the Van Alstyne Square are two original Interurban Freight Cars on display. They give you an idea of what the Interurban was like. The Interurban last ran in 1948. You can find a section of the original track on the other side of the square. It’s too bad they couldn’t have been placed back on the tracks but that would have been a real traffic problem.
