It’s nice to know that Van Alstyne real estate is starting to recover. Developers have noticed what a great location we are is in and have many homes planned for our future. The latest word is that DR Horton will start a project near the Georgetown subdivision.
There are many other irons in the fire and the only bad part is we are going to have to endure roads under construction for some time. On 75, the road construction near McKinney is nearing completion and you can expect the next phase to go all the way to County Line Rd. Won’t all this be fun?
FM121 will get widened west of Van Alstyne. I hope they don’t straighten it out because that is a nice road to lean into if you are on a motorcycle. Those of us on the east side are happy life will stay as is for the forseeable future. Change is good but it’s nice being invisible for a while. Now if we can just get those Interurban cars back on the track – VART – Van Alstyne Area Rapid Transit, it’s only a matter of time!
